In cases of early treatment and when ILV was applied for sufficient time, weaning time from ventilator was significantly reduced (case no. 1)

Even though treatment is applied precociously but ILV is suspended after a short time (case no. 2), weaning time is prolonged as in case no. 4 in which application was delayed.

In cases of delayed application it is necessary to prolong ILV treatment to obtain more rapid weaning (case no. 3).

In cases of delayed treatment, even though ILV is applied for sufficient time, weaning time from ventilator is prolonged (case no. 4). Personal observation and unpublished data.
